About the role
Paytm is hiring a Team Leader in Mangalore to drive sales of its EDC card machines in the oil and gas segment, including petrol pumps and distributors. The leader runs a field sales team of five or more people, builds channel partner relationships, tracks daily productivity and the quality of merchant acquisitions, and does MIS reporting in Excel. The posting wants at least three years in channel sales and distribution, proven experience leading field teams, a graduate degree, and a smartphone, bike and helmet. Experience selling POS or EDC devices is preferred and the team follows an incentive structure.
What you will do
- Lead and manage a field sales team of 5 or more members
- Drive EDC machine sales and deployment in the oil and gas sector
- Build and maintain channel partner relationships
- Monitor daily productivity, acquisition quality and incentive earnings
- Train, guide and motivate the team
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity and report using Excel
What we need from you
- Minimum 3 years of experience in channel sales and distribution
- Proven experience leading field sales teams
- Graduate (mandatory); post-graduation preferred
- Must have a smartphone, bike and helmet
- POS/EDC device sales experience preferred
- Familiar with metrics-based sales tracking and incentive planning
