About the role
AIIMS Madurai is recruiting one Research Associate-III for the Technical Resource Centre for evidence-based guidelines, funded by the Department of Health Research. The contract starts at six months and can be renewed. The associate carries out systematic reviews and meta-analyses, builds search strategies, screens studies, extracts data, and helps prepare guideline documents, reports and manuscripts. Candidates need a public health, pharmacy, epidemiology or health economics postgraduate degree with research experience, and must be fluent in English and Tamil.
What you will do
- Conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses for the Technical Resource Centre
- Develop literature search strategies and run systematic searches
- Screen studies, extract data and assess risk of bias
- Prepare evidence tables and help assess certainty of evidence with GRADE
- Help prepare guideline documents, technical reports, manuscripts and workshops
What we need from you
- Postgraduate degree in MPH, M.Pharm, M.Sc Epidemiology or M.Sc Health Economics with 3 years of research or academic experience, or MD/MS/MDS/PhD in a relevant discipline
- Maximum age 35 years on the last date of application
- Able to speak fluently in English and Tamil
- Preferred: systematic review and meta-analysis publications and data analysis skills in R, STATA or Python
