About the role
NITK Surathkal has invited applications for one Post-Doctoral Fellowship under Phase II of the MeitY Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT, academic year 2026-27. The fellowship lasts 12 months, full-time, and pays Rs 1,08,393 a month plus a Rs 1 lakh yearly contingency grant and travel support up to Rs 2.10 lakh on reimbursement. The seat is available in CSE, ECE, EEE, IT and MACS, each with listed research topics. Applicants must be Indian citizens with a PhD from a recognised university completed within the past five years, not from NITK, and aged 40 or below.
What you will do
- Carry out full-time postdoctoral research on one of the topics listed by NITK departments
- Work within the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme terms for a 12-month fellowship
- Work in one of the CSE, ECE, EEE, IT or MACS departments
What we need from you
- PhD from a recognised university in a relevant topic, completed within the last 5 years
- First-class record in all preceding levels with a good academic record
- PhD must not be from NITK (the host institution)
- Indian citizen aged up to 40 years on application
- Not in regular employment; temporary academic or research posts must be relinquished if selected
