About the role
NITK Surathkal is engaging two Civil Engineers on a one-year contract, extendable annually up to three years, through a walk-in interview on 29 October 2026. The engineer independently handles civil works on the residential campus: building maintenance, water supply, gardening and sanitary works, site surveys, drawings and estimates, supervision, measurement records, bills and store handling. Eligibility is a diploma or BE/BTech in Civil Engineering with at least 60 percent marks, and three years of experience after a diploma or one year after a degree. CAD fluency is needed and consolidated pay is Rs 40,000 a month.
What you will do
- Execute civil works and routine maintenance of buildings, water supply and sanitary works
- Carry out site surveys and prepare drawings and estimates
- Supervise works and keep measurement records and bills
- Handle store and stock issues and submit accounts reports
- Attend to complaints promptly on a residential campus
What we need from you
- Diploma or BE/BTech in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.5/10
- At least 3 years experience after diploma, or 1 year after degree
- Fluency in CAD such as AutoCAD and word processing
- Age not exceeding 50 years on the interview date
- Desirable: experience with State/Central government agencies and PWD schedule of rates
