About the role
MRPL, a Miniratna public sector refinery and ONGC subsidiary near Mangaluru, is engaging five Fire Officers on a fixed-term basis under Advt. MRPL/PFTE/2026/03. The officer manages the fire station and shift activity, maintains fire protection facilities, responds to emergencies, plans for emergency preparedness, coordinates with other departments and trains employees and workers in fire and safety. A bachelor's degree in Fire or Fire and Safety Engineering with at least 60 percent aggregate and one year of post-qualification experience in oil and gas, petrochemical or similar industry is required. Engagement is for three years, extendable to five, with rotating shifts.
What you will do
- Manage the fire station and shift-related activities
- Maintain fire protection facilities and respond to emergencies
- Plan for emergency preparedness
- Coordinate fire and safety work with other departments
- Train employees and workers in fire and safety
What we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in engineering in Fire / Fire and Safety with minimum 60% aggregate from a recognised Indian university
- Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in fire and safety in oil and gas, petrochemicals, fertilizer, power, chemical or similar industry
- Maximum age 40 years (UR) / 43 years (OBC-NCL) as on 07.11.2026
- Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights
